 Rava dosa recipe-  Rava dosa, variant of dosa which is popular in south indian breakfast. Made with rava/semolina,  some spices, leaves, curd and maida which can be replaced with wheat flour. Tasty dosa made without fermenting, any type of coconut chutney, sambar compliment the dish. 

Rava dosa

INGREDIENTS

  1. Rava- 1cup
  2. Curd- 1/2 cup
  3. Rice flour- 3/4 cup
  4. Wheat flour- 1/4 cup
  5. Cumin seed- 1tbsp
  6. Onion- 1 medium
  7. Ginger- 1 tbsp
  8. Green chilly- 1 no:
  9. Coriander leaves- 2 springs
  10. Curry leaves- 1 spring
  11. Salt- As required

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Soak rava and atta in curd for about 20 minutes with some salt.

Rava
  • After 20 minutes add jeera, cumin seeds, onion, green chilly, coriander leaves and curry leaves. Add water, the batter should be watery.

Dosa batter
  • Heat dosa pan. Apply oil, for pouring batter I had used small glass. 
Glass
  • Pour batter in glass from outside to inside.
Dosa
  • Sprinkle ghee or oil, you can see brown colour above dosa now flip it and cook. It will take around 10 minutes.
Dosa tawa
  • Tasty rava dosa is ready to serve.
Instant rava dosa
TIPS
  • For retaining colour keep flame on medium and cook.
  • Curd should be sour for getting right taste.
  • Mix batter everytime before making dosa.
  • If batter becomes thick, add some water to make it loose.
  • Tastes more good when its hot.
