COOKWITHJAMMY/BOONDI LADUU

 Laddo is a popular Indian sweet made using besan flour. It is usually made during festive or religious occasions. Ladoo can also be made using semolina or chickpea flour.

Laduu

INGREDIENTS

1.Besan flour-2 cup

2.Sugar-1.5cup

3.Cardamom powder-1tbsp

4.kesari powder

5.Nuts-cashews & raisins

6.Ghee-1-2 tbsp

METHOD 

  • Before starting to cook we have to sift the besan flour.

  • Add required amount of water,pinchof kesari powder and a pinch of baking soda(optional) to flour and mix it using whisk. The mixture should be in watery consistency.                                       Boondi mix
  • Heat oil in a vessel. Oil must be kept in medium to high flame.Then drop this mixture using ladle or spoon. Fry the boondies for 30-40 seconds. Don't overfry.                                     
                                Frying boondis
  • If your boondies are shapeless then just grind them in pulse mode.
  • Boil sugar with 1 cup of water. To this add cardamom powder, kesari powder and baking soda(optional). Boil it to 1 string consistency.                                                                                                                   Sugar syrup
  • Then to this add fried boondies and mix them. Turn off flame when the mix is lightly wet. To this add nuts which is roasted in ghee.

    • Now make small balls when it is slightly warm. Otherwise it will be difficult to make ball. Now the tasty laduus are ready to serve.
