 Kerala neymeen fish curry- I am going to share simple and mouthwatering  fish curry with neymeen fish, you can try out this recipe with any type of fish. Neymeen has so many health benefits like good for heart, brain health, arthritis and osteoporosis. Rice and  smashed tapioca compliment the dish.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Coriander powder- 11/2 tbsp
  2. Turmeric powder- 1/2 tbsp
  3. Chilly powder- 1 tbsp
  4. Green chilly- 1 no:
  5. Tamarind- 2tbsp
  6. Curry leaves- 1 sprig
  7. Coconut- 3/4 cup
  8. Shallots- 10-15 no:
  9. Salt- As required

INSTRUCTIONS
  • Ground coconut with chilly powder,coriander powder,turmeric powder,shallots and water.Make them into smooth paste.
  • Take a earthern pot or manchatti, pour this coconut paste, add required amount of tamarind water and crystal salt.
  • Now taste the gravy and keep in stove on high flame, let it boil.At this stage add half slit green chilly.
  • After boiling keep in low flame and add fish pieces. When fish is half cooked add some curry leaves.

  • After some time check whether fish is completely cooked and turn off the flame. Tasty fish curry is ready to serve.
TIPS
  • If you like tempering you can use fenugreek seeds.
  • Adding curry leaves enhances flavour of dish.
  • If u want, atlast you can add a tablespoon of coconut oil.
