 Coffee cake recipe- Coffee cake have originated from Germany. In different country they are prepared differently like, with coffee butter icing or simply cake with coffee. Coffee lovers will definitely like this cake, I had prepared this cake on kadai decorated with some powdered sugar and grated chocolate. Combo for tea or coffee.

INGREDIENTS

  1. Maida- 11/4 cup
  2. Instant coffee- 4 tbsp
  3. Baking powder- 3/4 tsp
  4. Baking soda-1/4 tsp
  5. Sugar powdered- 1 cup
  6. Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
  7. Eggs- 3
  8. Milk- 6 tbsp

INSTRUCTIONS 

  • Grease the cake tin that you are going to bake with butter and spread maida over them and on sides.

  • Sift the dry ingredients ie, maida, baking powder and baking soda. sift flour
  • Beat egg and sugar with a whisk until it becomes light and fluffy. Add melted butter and whisk.

  • Add maida little by little and mix it using a spatula or spoon. cake mix
  • Add instant coffee powder to the warm milk and mix. coffee
  • Preheat the kadai for 10 minutes in medium flame, by closing it with a lid keeping a plate inside in upside down position.

  • Add milk coffee mix to flour and mix them. coffee mix
  • Transfer cake mix to baking tin and tap it to avoid air bubbles. Carefully keep this inside kadai using a lifter.

  • Bake by closing lid for about 35- 40 minutes. Tasty cake is ready. Wait until it cools. Remove by seperating sides with knife and demould. instant coffee cakecake backside
  • For decoration I used powdered sugar, spread using seive. Grated some chocolate above that.

    TIPS 
  • Depending upon your liking you can use instant coffee (2-4 tbsp) .
