 Wheat biscuit-Biscuit, a snack which can be eaten in any time of a day. Biscuits can be made with maida  or wheat flour. Here I am going to show healthier version, that's with wheat flour. Whenever kids crave for snack we can gave this, in this I have added nuts powder too. Not only kids , people of all ages can enjoy this healthy snack with coffee, tea or milk. 

Wheat biscuits

INGREDIENTS

  1. Wheat flour-1 cup
  2. Palm sugar/sugar-1/2 cup
  3. Ghee-1/2 cup
  4. Vanilla essence-1tsp
  5. Baking powder-1 tsp
  6. Milk-3 tbsp
  7. Nuts powder-11/2 tbsp(optional)
  8. Pomogranate-2-3 tbsp

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Add wheat flour, sugar and nuts powder (dry roasted almond, cashews and peanuts, then grounded) in a bowl and mix them with spoon.In this i had  used palm sugar.                                                               wheat flour

  • knead it smoothly with hands.

  • Add milk for making smooth and soft dough.

  •  Roll dough using chappati roller and cut as per your desired shape, here i had used cookie cutter.

  • First batch of whole wheat biscuits are ready for baking. For topping I used pomogranate.

  • Preheat the kadai in medium flame for about 10 minutes by keeping a plate inside.

  • keep in low flame and place biscuit tin above the plate. Cook for about 30 minutes by closing it with a lid. When it's 25 minute flip it and see whether biscuits are baked or not. Biscuits are ready, when the lower portion becomes dark brown.

  • Tasty wheat biscuits are ready to serve. Let it cool completely and store them in an air tight container.

TIPS
  • Depending upon the size of biscuits the cooking time also changes. If its not baked, cook for another 5-10 minutes.
  • For getting brown shade on both sides, if one side is cooked flip it carefully and cook other side for about 5-10 minutes (optional).
