      Kozhukattai is a south indian dish which is made using rice flour. Different types of kozhukkattai are there. In this blog I am going to prepare Kara Kozhukattai.                           
                  Kara kozhukattai                                                                    

Ingredients
  1. Rice flour-2.5 cups
  2. Jeera-2 tbsp
  3. Coconut-0.5 cup
  4. Red chilly-6-7
  5. Gingelly oil-1 tbsp
  6. Mustard seed
  7. salt as required
  8. Curry leaves
Instructions
  •  For rice flour, soak raw rice in water for 2 hours.After that grind and seive the flour. Lightly roast the flour and transfer it to a vessel.

  • To this add half cup of grated coconut.

  • Now we can add jeera, salt and gingelly oil to it. Mix everything with hands. 
             Mixing dry ingredients
  • To this add light warm water and mix.

  • Mix should not be too watery or dry.It must have some wetness, so that we can make balls easily.
                Kozhukattai balls
  • Now the balls are ready to cook. Cook it in idly plate or plain plate for 20 minutes. Now the kozhukatti's are ready.
                  Cooked kozhukattai
  • For tempering, heat oil in a pan. To this add mustard seeds, red chilly and curry leaves. Now add  kozhukattai and mix well. If u wish u can add chilly powder also.                     
                 Tempering kozhukattai
  • Now the Kara Kozhukattai's  are ready. You can serve it with coconut chutney.
